How Do I Stop Being Depressed? Getting Help With Depression In Long Beach

Many people come in with problems that stem from the underlying issue of depression. Whether it be arguments with a partner or spouse, drinking, or not having the friends or relationship you want because you tend to not socialize or stay home when others invite you out. There are many different ways to treat depression. A lot of what I do in therapy is helping you rethink the messages you tell yourself. In using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I help my clients evaluate the thoughts they are telling themselves that cause them to feel sad/depressed/not good enough. Once they become experts at knowing if those thoughts are helpful or not helpful, they are often able to change those thoughts and eventually able to see the world in a different light.
