If you’ve been in a relationship for a while, you may have started to notice that your sex life isn’t what it used to be. This is a common occurrence in relationships, but it doesn’t have to be this way. Improving your love life starts outside the bedroom. Here are some everyday things you can do to add a little spice to your relationship.

Appreciation
Think about the last time someone showed you they appreciated you. I’m going to guess you really wanted to do more to make that person happy. Now imagine how your partner will feel as the recipient of that kind of appreciation. He or she is bound to feel the urge to try harder to make you happy in other areas of your relationship, including sex.

Kindness
Remember that your relationship is a two-way street. Expressing your gratitude should include doing some of those little things that your partner appreciates, both and in and out of the bedroom.

Take care of yourself
This refers to both your health and your appearance. When you’re healthy, you’ll have more energy for sex, and when you feel attractive, you’ll be more interested in sex. You’ll be amazed at the difference a healthy diet and exercise will make.

Spend time together
Absence may make the heart grow fonder, but too much can drive a wedge between you. Start a habit of taking a walk together after dinner, giving each other a massage before bed, exercising together, or cooking dinner together. Mix this up with time alone and you will have the beginnings to a well balanced relationship.

Play
All work and no play makes a relationship pretty dull. It can also spell disaster in the bedroom. Send your partner a flirty text during the day, settle in for a game night, or break out the water guns and chase each other around the yard. The couple that plays together, stays together.
