How to talk to a therapist about my fears of COVID-19.

Tips from a licensed therapist in Long Beach.

Mental health therapists are considered “essential” under California’s “shelter at home” self quarantine rules, so people are still allowed to go to their therapists office (especially if the therapist can set you up 6 feet apart from them). Some therapists are going 100% to teletherapy (online therapy and phone therapy) and others are still seeing people at their offices. For the most part, our office has been moving everyone to phone/online. It is really easy, even if you aren’t good at computers and technology. We can email you or text you a link that you can click on and that’s it. We can walk you through it OR you can just have a telephone session. Our goal is to make access to therapy as easy as it can be based on your comfort level with technology. Don’t let the COVID-19 stop you from getting the support you need. Whether you want to talk about your fear, worries, or anxiety about COVID-19 or if you want to talk about the issues that you have been dealing with even before COVID-19, give us a call!
