How to get help with my anxiety?
People with anxiety have symptoms ranging from not being able to focus, not feeling comfortable in social situations (where they used to be okay), headaches, hypertension, fatigue, heart palpitations, and sexual dysfunction. Some people suffer in silence and others end up in the ER because they think they are having a heart attack.
Oftentimes, people who live with anxiety have limited support because they don’t know who to reach out to or they are afraid that someone will judge them. Talking about your fears and your experience with anxiety with a mental health therapist can often reduce symptoms and get you back to feeling yourself again. Many people think that if they have lived with anxiety their entire life, that they can’t be helped. Please know that it is never too late to get help. People at all levels of anxiety deserve to feel better and are able to learn skills to control their anxiety in therapy. At Long Beach Therapy, we are trained in several treatments for anxiety.
