Can you push through anxiety?
Anxiety is usually either (1) a systematic reaction to something you experienced in your life or (2) something that comes from deep within your biological system as a survival response, so it isn’t something you can just push through. Because it is a chemical reaction that happens in your brain, it is similar to drinking in that you can’t have 10 shots of tequila and expect to be able to “push through it” and just drive home. Rather, you have to learn techniques to relax and let it pass until deeper therapeutic work can be done to heal the trauma.
